Privacy Policy
Effective October 4, 2026
What the app stores, and where
The workouts and settings you enter are saved in a single file inside the app's storage on your iPhone or iPad. That file never leaves your device unless you choose to send it somewhere yourself, for example with Export data in Settings.
Like other app data, this file is included in your device backups (iCloud Backup or a backup to your computer) if you have them turned on. Those backups are handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; we have no access to them.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not run servers that receive your data, and the app contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking software. We do not sell or share data, because we never have any.
Subscriptions and payments
Subscriptions, free trials and payments are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see your name, Apple ID, email address or payment details. The app only checks with Apple, on your device, whether your subscription or trial is active so it can unlock features.
Sharing and exporting
If you use Export data, the app creates a file of your workout history and hands it to the iOS share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Data in existing device backups is governed by your backup settings.
Children
Taut is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Health information
The app does not connect to Apple Health or any other health service. The exercise details you log stay on your device as described above.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If we ever begin collecting data, we will say so here and in the App Store listing before doing so.
